Annie Lewis O'Donnel, Vice President, Program Design and Teacher Preparation, leads Teach For America's corps member design team, an 18-person team that creates much of the organization's national training and support for its pre-service, first, and second year teachers. After teaching second grade in Baltimore for three years, Annie joined Teach For America's design team and spent a year overhauling the organization's knowledge base and pre-service training approach for elementary literacy teachers. Annie's team has developed and continues to improve training and support across a broad range of areas from classroom management and culture to effective lesson execution. Annie graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Sociology and Political Science and earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University. She lives in Hoboken, New Jersey with her husband Neil.
