Our Impact

More than 10 years ago, TeachingWorks became the first organization in the U.S. to propose a set of high-leverage practices on which to center initial teacher preparation.

Since then, we’ve been at the forefront of the movement to recenter teacher education in practice, and have helped transform the way teachers are prepared in countless preparation programs across the country and world. Our immersive professional learning opportunities and library of curriculum resources provide teacher educators with rare opportunities to envision and implement a better way to train teachers.

We simultaneously work to refine teaching and support the learning of teachers across their career. We are leaders in the field of practice-based professional learning because we focus squarely on the actual work of teaching and what it takes to learn to develop it.
