Throughout the year, our projects allow the TeachingWorks team to support our own learning through intensive research and hands-on interactions with children and teacher candidates.

TeachingWorks projects

TeachingWorks projects are designed to help us explore practices and pedagogies in teaching and teacher education that disrupt patterns of inequity. Developing our own understanding and perspectives enables us to better design practice-based learning opportunities and guide educators through TeachingWorks partnerships and programs.

Summer Mathematics Camps

For more than 15 years, TeachingWorks has hosted mathematics camps each summer for elementary school students in Southeast and West Michigan. Taught and facilitated by TeachingWorks team members, the programs are designed to provide students with a high-quality, well-rounded experience, while helping them cultivate positive academic identities and build a stronger understanding of important mathematical concepts.
